Denver, CO – Today, Blank Check. Blatant Deception. Vote No on 73, a growing coalition of organizations, elected officials and Colorado citizens, launched the first campaign ad opposing Amendment 73.
The ad features campaign co-chairs, Dave Davia, Executive Vice President and CEO of the Colorado Association of Mechanical and Plumbing Contractors and Katie Kruger, CEO, Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors discussing the details of Amendment 73.
According to the campaign, the ad will run on both broadcast and digital media.
Dave Davia: “Amendment 73 is a $1.6 billion blank check. The largest tax increase in Colorado history.”
Katie Kruger: “They say its just a tax increase on CEOs and big corporations, but that’s dishonest.”
Davia: “73 triggers a tax increase on thousands of small businesses, farms, and dual income families.”
Kruger: “Every homeowner gets a property tax increase and small businesses across the state – their taxes would go up 78%.”
Davia: “73 is deceptive.”
Kruger: “Vote NO on Amendment 73.”
“The bottom line, Amendment 73 is deceptive and dishonest,” said Davia. “It being billed as a mechanism to support education but that’s not true.”
“The more people learn about Amendment 73, the more they oppose it,” added Kruger.
